Job Summary

Assist Communication Specialist, Project Managers, and

Project Planners with communication based efforts around

campus Facilities Management projects and services

including but not limited to enhancing ongoing social media

efforts, campus and community outreach and awareness

building, researching and writing short news stories for the

FM website, and photographing construction sites or other

areas of campus.


1. Creates web content on ongoing and upcoming projects and services

2. Assists in the campus outreach, in person and social media

3. Confirm that appropriate signage and way finding indicators are present at job sites throughout campus

4. Assists with the development and implementation of campus building guides

5. Assists with meetings and note taking

6. Assist the Communication Specialist in photographing and promoting new construction and ongoing services

7. Assists in other communication efforts throughout the organization as needed

8. Creates and maintains files on creative projects

9. Answers questions about the organization and associated activities

10.Assists with word processing, data entry and internet searches to determine best practices

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency required. One year full-time customer service experience or equivalency, demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.

Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.


Students with interest and skills in communication, photography, project management, marketing, social media and customer service. Must have excellent writing skills. Preferred experience with InDesign or Photoshop.
