Job Summary
The University of Utah Sports Nutrition Department is currently seeking applicants for a Sports Nutrition Fellowship position. Start date: No later than February 1st. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

This is a 2-year position (the second year will be renewed at the successful completion of the first, based upon a performance evaluation by the Executive Director of Sports Nutrition).
Responsibilities
•Manage two centralized fueling stations – including staffing, training, ordering, stocking, etc.
•Supervise sports nutrition interns and volunteers
•Conduct new athlete nutrition screenings
•Coordinate travel nutrition and half time fueling for various teams
•Coordinate sports nutrition services to assigned teams
•Perform grocery store tours and cooking classes
•Develop education materials and present team educations sessions
•Conduct hydration testing
•Counsel athletes on individual needs (including MNT , performance nutrition, body composition, etc)
•Provide sports nutrition information on social media
•Act as an additional nutrition resource for staff athletic trainers, coaches, strength and conditioning coaches, medical staff and food service personnel
•Other duties as assigned by the Sports Dietitians
Minimum Qualifications
•Bachelors in nutrition
•Registered Dietitian (RD) or RD eligible working towards CSSD certification
•Thorough knowledge of nutritional principles as they relate to athletic performance
•Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments
•Ability to work a non-standard workweek which may include nights, weekends, and holidays
•Effective oral and written communication skills
•Strong interpersonal skills
•Excellent time and priority management skills
•Ability to work as an integral part of the sports nutrition team
•Capability of delegating tasks/duties effectively and efficiently to student intern and volunteers
