Job Summary

Will be working in our Network Operations Center. This position is primarily focused on the network monitoring, management, and maintenance of theUETNnetwork.

Day to day work includes performing maintenance and troubleshooting of theUETNbackbone and customer connected networks. It includes responding to alerts generated in monitoring tools, respond and manage incidents and coordinate repairs and service with our engineers, vendors, telecoms, and customers.

Participation in improvement projects and tasks to increase our network capabilities and services.

Responsibilities

Perform duties associated with the management, monitoring, and maintenance of theUETNnetwork. These duties include but are not limited to:

- Assisting connected customers with network related issues or outages.

- Identify and troubleshoot network related issues through resolution.

- Performing preventative maintenance and support for our statewide network.

- Learn and grow your expertise on a large, complicated, and state of the art network.

- Ability to self-manage time and priorities based on work requirement guidelines.

- Work effectively during evening and overnight hours as required by the work schedule.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalency in area of specialty and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Preferences

•Cisco networking experience (CCNA,CCNP)

•Programming/scripting experience

•System Administration experience
