Job Summary

The Field Trip Education Intern will facilitate interactive, in-gallery programming for field trip visitors and work closely with School Programs staff to expand, develop, and implement field trip programming.

Responsibilities

•Facilitate and support in-gallery programming for field trip students.

•Assist in greeting and welcoming of field trip students.

•Engage with K-12 students, teachers, and chaperones in an informal education environment.

•Assist in evaluation of field trip programming and other assigned projects and activities to support field trip education as needed.

•Work collaboratively with Museum staff and volunteers to expand, develop, and implement new field trip programming.

Minimum Qualifications

•Undergraduate student

•Excited about science and education

•Enjoy interacting with children and adults

•Comfortable and calm in high-activity, high-energy, and noisy environments

•Ability to take initiative and adapt quickly in changing circumstances

•Good oral communication skills

•Pass a criminal background check

•Proficient in Microsoft Office programs; willing to learn basic skills to use apps and programs on computers and smart devices
