Job Summary

Learn and employ advanced skills such as specialty casting, cast removal, brace fitting, medical note scribing, and more, while working within a specialized healthcare team. This position requires travel to each of our pediatric Orthopedic Surgery clinic locations as needed. This position requires national Medical Assistant certification. We provide on the job training of advanced skills.

Responsibilities

Learn and employ advanced skills such as specialty casting, cast removal, brace fitting, medical note scribing, and

more, while working within a specialized healthcare team. This position requires travel to each of our Pediatric

Orthopedic Surgery clinic locations as needed. This position requires national Medical Assistant certification.

Minimum Qualifications

Required

Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system. The eCredential is to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

One of the following

Current Advanced EMT certification with the State of Utah.

Current certification to practice as a Paramedic in the State of Utah.

Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant ( CMA ) through AAMA

Currently credentialed in ABR -OE (Assessment-Based Recognition in Order Entry) through AAMA .

Current certification as a Registered Medical Assistant ( RMA ) through AMT

Current certification as a National Certified Medical Assistant ( NCMA ) through NCCT .

Current Clinical Medical Assistant Certification through NHA .

Current certification as a NRCMA – Medical Assistant through the National Association for Health Professionals.

If candidate is not certified upon hire, they must have completed an accredited Medical Assisting program before date of hire.

One of the indicated certifications must be obtained within six months of hire.

Preferences

Minimum of 3 years experience in a medical setting. Previous knowledge in Epic and iCentra.
