Job Summary

This is a part-time assistant position within the Marketing Department of the University Campus Store. Assist in the planning, implementing, and development of a strategic marketing/promotional plan as per coordination with the Marketing Manager. Responsible for helping to define and execute a social media strategy to promote the University Campus Store.

Responsibilities

This position will work closely with the Marketing Manager develop and maintain a cooperative working relationship with the store managers and supervisors. Additionally, this position will have a supportive role in the development and implementation of strategic marketing programs. Will assist in the design/implementation of a marketing plan, conducting market research and analysis, and utilizing materials and a variety of advertising media for sales, profit, and market share growth. Responsible for daily posts/tweets to all applicable social media outlets. Duties may include cultivating new communities and managing branded online communities on the company’s behalf using Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and other social media. You will provide relevant content daily while tracking metrics and relevant conversations.

Minimum Qualifications

This is an entry-level position. Training will be provided. Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills and the ability to pass a security clearance is required. Some positions require a minimum of six months cashiering experience.

Must be a current University of Utah student.

Preferences

The ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment. Able to work independently when necessary. Highly motivated with consistent work ethic. Preference will be given to Marketing/ Communications Majors.
