The incumbent is responsible for analyzing, defining and leading IT Projects simultaneously at a high level. To deliver projects effectively on time, on budget and within scope.

This position has no responsibility for providing care to patients.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes, defines and leads IT projects to effectively deliver IT solutions working with technical teams and business partners.

  • Leads and drives IT projects in accordance with applicable customer approaches, policies, procedures, methodologies (PgMO) and tools to ensure required level of business "best practices" are met through quality assurance, process control and regulatory compliance.

  • Works with project teams, including business application stakeholders and technical teams conducting required activities to deliver project objectives.

  • Works with technical teams, facilitates project strategy discussions, planning, coordination and execution of required activities within the project as identified by business leadership stakeholders.

  • Analyzes business, technical issues and risks, and develops appropriate strategies and plans for remediation.

  • Creates formal project plan and builds project team, gathering necessary resources to form a structured implementation plan.

  • Works with application teams and business teams to provide guidance and planning for coordination of overall activities within the project.

  • Determines key priorities and aligns them with organization operational strategy goals.

  • Works with organizational teams and committees within the organization to gain "buy-in" from decision makers and stakeholders. Driving execution of the project plan, resource prioritization and optimization.

  • Identifies critical activities, "quick wins" and cost savings opportunities effectively working with the project team to implement them.

  • Manages project budget and tracks expenditures to plan.

  • Provides regular status reports and keeps required documentation up-to-date.

  • Increases talent pool within IT pool within IT team by focusing on developing the existing team members( through regular coaching, role modeling, projects and assignments) to improve overall project management skills within the organization.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent.

  • Ten years of technical and business experience in similar position, at least 3 years leading complex IT projects.

Qualifications (Preferred)

Preferred

  • PMP Certification.

  • Project management experience with software development projects.

  • Agile project management experience.

  • Understands IT architecture and supported technologies.

  • Experience working in a hospital/clinical setting, including interaction with providers.

  • Experience with Telehealth technology platforms. Successful candidate will come with a wide array of technical and operational experience implementing and managing technology solutions. Successful candidate will have deep working knowledge of hardware and software solutions in the health care industry. Successful candidate will enjoy working on a team that is focused on deadlines, high-reliability solutions, and team-focused success.
