Description: Join our dynamic team at theDepartment of Radiology and Imaging Sciences (Department%20of%20Radiology%20and%20Imaging%20Sciences) , University of Utah, as a CAQ -certified, fellowship-trained Interventional Radiologist in our rapidly expanding Interventional Radiology (IR) section.

Oursection (https://healthcare.utah.edu/radiology/interventional) offers robust programs in interventional oncology and complex transplant and hepatobiliary intervention in addition to routine interventional radiology procedures. Our interventional radiology faculty consists of seven faculty members and groups of physician assistants, nurse practitioners, technologists, and nurses. Accredited residency (DR-IR) and IR fellowship programs are available.

Qualifications :

We are looking for a CAQ -certified, fellowship-trained Interventional Radiologist with experience in all aspects of IR operations. The ideal candidate should have outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills with evidence of prior academic work. We expect this individual to contribute to and flourish in a collegial environment that promotes the growth of the section in alignment with department goals. The academic appointment will be at a rank commensurate with training and experience.

Facilities and Institution:

The section provides clinical services at theUniversity Hospital (https://healthcare.utah.edu/locations/hospital) ,VA Medical Center (https://www.va.gov/salt-lake-city-health-care/) , and theHuntsman Cancer Hospital (https://healthcare.utah.edu/huntsmancancerinstitute/) , an NCI -designated premier cancer center. The University Hospital draws patients from the 5 surrounding states of Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, and Wyoming. We have recently opened a2-floor IR suite (https://www.deseret.com/utah/2020/2/16/21136440/university-of-utah-hospital-radiology-machine-upgrade) in the main hospital as well as a new room at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital and a second room that has been updated, both within a completely redesigned clinical platform. Further expansion of IR resources at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital is currently planned.

Our imaging resources outside of IR include MR, dual-energy CT, and PET -CT, available for clinical work and research. TheUtah Center for Advanced Imaging Research ( UCAIR ) (https://medicine.utah.edu/radiology/research/ucair) in the Department offers world-class research opportunities in advanced medical imaging and interventional device developments such as MR-guided Focused Ultrasound. A research C-arm for pre-clinical studies is also available for interventional radiology research.
