This position assists applicants in completing the admission process for admission as an international student. The employee evaluates international transcripts and test scores and manages university records. Prepares, verifies and enters data into computerized information systems.
1. Assist in evaluating international undergraduate applications. Provides policy interpretation for international applicants regarding transfer admission criteria, processes academic-related paperwork, and does final review of applicant’s admissions eligibility.
2. Respond to emails related to international undergraduate admissions and may provide general information for students regarding program areas being offered, or other areas related to academic services
3. Process credentials related to international admissions
4. Monitors students’ academic files to ensure information is complete and updated by filling in information and changing records when applicable
5. Manages daily work responsibilities and recommends changes to supervisor to improve processes.
6. Other Duties as Assigned

Three years of general office experience, one of which in an academic setting; and demonstrated human relation and
effective communication skills required.
College coursework in a related area is preferred.

Special Instructions Summary
Related to COVID 19, this is not a remote position. Staff are required to be in the office on a rotating skeleton crew schedule. Until the University of Utah has provided updated health safety guidelines, the majority of the business work days will be completed remotely.
In order to perform the job responsibilities remotely, reliable internet connection and a Windows PC are required. Staff are responsible for providing their own laptop or desktop and internet connection while working from home–compensation for these services are not provided. The majority of on-boarding and new employee training will be conducted virtually via zoom.
