Job Summary

Substance abuse services offer free groups for individuals awaiting county-funded substance abuse treatment services.


Part-time co-facilitators work with individuals who have a substance abuse problem and may have a history of involvement in the criminal justice system. Facilitators guide the group process and assist members in giving support to one another.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or sociology and/or currently in a certification program for SUDC and/or MSW student, CMHC student, or Ph.D. clinical or counseling psychology student. Graduate students are accepted.

Masters degree or mental health licenses are not required.


-Interest in working with individuals with substance abuse problems.

-Comfortable working with people who have a history of involvement in the criminal justice system.
