Job Summary
Prepares, collects, verifies and enters data into computerized information systems for clinical trials and research. Consents patients and assists with protocol procedures.
Qualifications
Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required.

Responsibilities
1.Enters information into computerized information systems in a timely and accurate manner in compliance with contracted sponsor requirements.
2. Researches and evaluates all documents for accuracy and completeness to ensure correct data is entered.
3. Assist PI and study coordinator in completing study procedures.
4. Consents patients
5. Maintain good clinical research records.
6. Reviews input against source documents for accuracy and edits as needed.
7. Maintains document master files for backup and verification.
8. May be required to run queries and reports.
9. Create patient subject binders, print off source documents, identify potential adverse events and serious adverse events to bring to the PI and CRC’s attention.
10. Ensure data audit readiness and accountability.
11. May be required to perform clerical duties such as filing.
12. Must have car as travel is required for the position

Problem Solving
The Research Assistant follows department and University policies and procedures along with State and Federal laws associated with the assigned area. Once fully trained, incumbents in this position are able to evaluate information and make a determination regarding the status or completeness of the information.
Incumbents in this position work under close supervision, perform repetitive tasks and may be required to perform under strict deadlines.
