Job Summary

Involved in all stages of student registration, records maintenance, analyzing graduation applications, posting degrees, and distributing the official diploma to graduates. Ensures

compliance with university/office policies and procedures along with federal regulations to maintain accuracy and integrity of academic records. Aids students in graduation requirements,

general university information, and manages university student records by performing clerical activities to maintain student files.

Responsibilities

1. Data entry, filing, and interaction with students, campus agencies, and the general public concerning registration, records maintenance, and graduation.

2. Assists students and the university community with graduation issues, resolves concerns, and provides graduation information.

3. Records, monitors, and verifies required data and information into student database and information systems.

4. Ensures compliance with university/office policies and procedures, and federal regulations to maintain the accuracy and integrity of academic records.

5. Processes degree applications for prospective graduates and notifies candidates of deficiencies of completion of requirements by clearing students for graduation.

6. Generates reports and statistics and performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Three years of general office experience, one of which in an academic setting; and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required. College coursework in a related area is preferred.
