Job Summary

We are seeking motivated candidates with skills in office management, faculty support, data tracking, communications, student support, and event planning to work and coordinate the Hybrid Doctor of Physical Therapy ( DPT ) pathway program. The Hybrid DPT pathway is a full-time, distance-based, and in-residence program of study that requires intentional work to optimize the student experience in the pathway.

This position requires initiative, energy, strong communication skills, and exceptional people skills. The Hybrid DPT Pathway is in the Department of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training.

Responsibilities

· This position supports the day-to-day operations of the Hybrid DPT pathway

· Under the direction of program leadership, including the Manager of Student Services, assist in optimizing the student experience in the DPT program and specifically the Hybrid DPT pathway.

· Assists recruiting and admissions for the Hybrid Doctor of Physical Therapy pathway.

· Communicates with and facilitates local and distance-based students and staff administrative needs using appropriate technologies

· Works with the student affairs team to enhance engagement with distance-based students, including occasional travel to conferences and other professional events.

· Meets with students to provide information and guidance on academic-related issues, such as DPT prerequisite requirements, application and reapplication to the DPT program, course planning, and other program requirements.

· Facilitates DPT admissions and application process including application screening, application review, applicant interview day, and orientation.

· Compiles data and statistical reports and correspondence in relation to DPT program admissions.

· Conducts information sessions and attends graduate fairs to recruit prospective students.

· Serves on University committees, attends monthly meetings, and makes recommendations that affect curriculum requirements, advising processes and program development, and published materials.

· Supports department efforts for marketing and advertising in cooperation with other staff assigned to this task

· Assists the Program with meetings and program events, including scheduling, room reservations, e-mail contacts, event catering and logistics, minute taking, and lab immersion planning and execution.

· Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (1 year of education is equivalent to 2 years’ experience)

2 years’ of related experience.

Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills
