TheGISDeveloper/Analyst is a results-oriented individual who creates custom and configurableGISsolutions for a variety of university needs. He/she investigates standard system applications; prepares analyses of system specifications and program coding; translates detailed design specifications into computer program instructions; debugs routine programs; conducts systems test data; prepares diagrams and over-all flow charts; and prepares statements of program objectives and associated documentation. The analyst recommends appropriate reaction strategies in response toGISanalysis, and provides clients with maps and data sets to supplement analysis.

• Debug applications and write unit and functional tests for application code.
• Integrate data from various relational database systems.
• Perform system administration via Python scripting.
• Design, create, and maintain data within a multi-server ArcGIS Enterprise system.
• Manage and integrate external data sources (CAD,GPS, databases) for project use.
• Publish, update, and maintain ArcGIS web services.
• Troubleshoot software and publishing issues.
• Create out-of-the-box solutions using ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Web App Builder.
• Collaborate with individuals from a variety of professional backgrounds to help buildGISsolutions that meet customers’ needs.
• Effectively communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Create high quality cartographic maps.
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalency and 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.
Prefer 10+ years experience inGISand 5+ years in application development
