Job Summary

Processes repetitive and non-repetitive, clerical accounting transactions which require specific knowledge of a wide variety of prescribed accounting codes and classifications. Prepare check and ACH /Wire deposits.


1. Performs routine front desk clerk tasks for busy central administration department.

2. Performs basic accounting work by following prescribed accounting routines.

3. Posts payments in PeopleSoft.

4. Prepares Departmental Deposits.

5. Maintains tracking logs for various documents.

6. Prepares project folders.

7. Daily filing of documents.

8. Preparation of files for archiving.

9. Communicates verbally and via email with departments across campus to redirect checks and wires to appropriate departments.

10. Maintains and orders adequate quantities of office supplies.

11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Four years of bookkeeping or accounting experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience), and an understanding of basic accounting principles, mathematical and spreadsheet skills; and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required.
