The Gallery Assistant assists the Gallery Programs Coordinator with day-to-dayNHMUoperations, including: supporting volunteer management, prop management, special events, and program facilitation.
• Assist with gallery props management, including: sourcing, maintaining, inventorying, and gathering.
• Assist with gallery programs, including: supply acquisition and setting up tables and chairs
• Assist with special events, including: supply acquisition and setting up tables and chairs
• Facilitate short, in-gallery, science-based educational activities and demonstrations
• Interact with Museum guests, answer questions about Museum programs
and services, and provide excellent customer service

High school diploma or equivalency required. One year full-time customer service experience or equivalency, demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.
