The Department of Family & Preventive Medicine, Division of Family Medicine, is seeking an outstanding physician educator to join our multi-disciplinary faculty.

You will be joining a strong family medicine faculty group and have opportunities for teaching family medicine residents, medical students, and other health science trainees. Obstetrics practice preferred.

Position Description

You will serve as a physician faculty member in in the Division of Family Medicine, Department of Family & Preventive Medicine at the University of Utah. This position requires a commitment to excellence in patient care, the highest standard of training for medical students and residents, and participation in multi-disciplinary scholarship. This will be an ambulatory-based position at the state-of-the-art University of Utah Sugar House Health Center ( SHHC ) located in central Salt Lake City. The SHHC is home to an integrated primary care workforce, including family medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, and internal medicine. The SHHC also houses one of the Family Medicine Residency program’s continuity clinics. The SHHC serves an urban population with a significant number of LGBTQ , refugee, and other underserved patient groups. We focus on interdisciplinary team-based care, including integrated behavioral health, care management, and clinical pharmacy services.

Obstetrics practice is strongly preferred. Clinical resources include:

•In-house back up from the University of Utah Department of OB- GYN

•Manageable call schedules

•Favorable malpractice environment
