The Division of Epidemiology at the University of Utah is seeking a faculty member to carry out first-rate research in the Department of Internal Medicine with a minimum of three years of research experience and potential for securing independent funding. Applicants must have an MD or PhD in a related discipline, training and experience that demonstrates expertise in epidemiology, computer modeling, public health surveillance, project management or medical informatics with experience in healthcare research and development.

The primary appointment for this position will be in the Division of Epidemiology. A multitude of opportunities for collaborative research exist in areas such as clinical and public health decision support systems, computer-based surveillance, and modeling of infectious diseases transmission at the University of Utah and Salt Lake City Veterans Health Care System.

As a key member of the Division of Epidemiology and Salt Lake City Veterans Health Care System, the successful candidate will be a highly motivated investigator whose major focus is research and future productivity.
