Provides administrative office support for two departments within the College of Education; Education, Culture & Society and Educational Leadership & Policy.
1. Provides administrative support to department chairs, faculty and students.
2. May include preparing correspondence, including composing routine letters and memos.
3. Organizes and makes arrangements for meetings, guest speakers, conferences and events.
4. Makes travel arrangements and processes reimbursements for faculty travel through the University travel office.
5. Prepares employee reimbursement forms.
6. Attends and responsible for taking and preparing minutes at department faculty or other program meetings.
7. Orders supplies and maintains office equipment.
8. Provides additional general office support such as greeting and directing visitors, handling incoming calls and processing mail.

High school diploma or equivalency required. Four years full time secretarial experience or equivalency, word processing and spreadsheet software skills and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.
Knowledge of business writing preferred.

Preference may be given to applicants with University of Utah experience. The incumbent must be organized, detail oriented and have a strong knowledge of general office procedures and processes. The ability to communicate effectively and professionally with many different individuals is essential.
