Job Summary
The College of Nursing Office of Academic Programs is seeking a highly motivated person to join our team of dedicated faculty and staff with an overall mission of launching and managing a College of Nursing Excellence in Education (CONExEd) program.
The program manager will collaborate with faculty and staff using a systematic process to translate vision, mission and goals into a successful two-pillar approach to achieving educational excellence; supporting faculty and staff teaching innovation teams and ensuring a foundational teaching skillset for all faculty. The program manager will contribute to continuous program improvement and be proactive in planning for goal achievement. Ideal candidates will have knowledge and experience in program management in higher education.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to day-to-day management of faculty teaching development programs and supporting teaching innovation teams to accomplish team objectives, collaborating with stakeholders (staff, faculty, entities external to the College of Nursing) to coordinate, implement, and assess program mission, vision, and objectives, and to support the Director and leadership team of the CONExEd for all program-related initiatives.
This position is not responsible for providing patient care.

Responsibilities
This position will report to the Director of the College of Nursing Excellence in Education program to help support education and educational programs and initiatives, and will work indirectly with the Associate Dean for Academic Programs to accomplish program goals.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related area plus three years of experience in budget, grant and program management or equivalency required. Develops and implements program ideas into successful academic and research programs; demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills also required.

Preferences
Master’s degree in Education, Nursing, Public Health, Social Work or a related health/public administration field. Demonstrated excellent human relation and customer service skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Strong coordination and organizational skills. Previous experience working in a higher education setting. Experience working with advancement officers and external grant funding. Ability to work with and coordinate among multiple project partners. Ability to work as part of a team and also independently. Ability to prioritize competing deadlines. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of software applications. Familiarity with data collection and management tools.
