Job Summary

At the Natural History Museum of Utah we place a strong emphasis on providing an exceptional experience to every guest who visits the museum or participates in any of our programs. The Special Events Team is an integral part of the success of the rental events program at the Natural History Museum of Utah. They will provide set-up and tear-down of events, as well as support throughout the event on an as needed basis. It is anticipated that the Museum will host an average of four events each week, 250 per year, which requires a strong and committed team to make all events a success and convey the “NHMU brand experience” of customer service that exceeds client expectations. The Museum has the capacity to host events ranging from 20 guests to 1200 guests; most events will be for 300 to 600 guests.

Responsibilities

Set-up, take-down and reset of events requires the movement of tables, chairs, and other furniture. In addition the Events Team will provide event support throughout the event and will interface with guests to convey the “NHMU brand experience” of customer service that exceeds client expectations.

Minimum Qualifications

Previous event industry and customer service experience preferred.

Weekday morning availability and weekday afternoon/evening availability (the shift starts at 3:30pm) strongly preferred.
