Maintenance, repair, replacement, testing and ethernet connection of utility meters for energy usage in the buildings for campus.

Primary person to repair and connect utility meters for remote reading of values through software.
Understands basic Ethernet IP addressing and cabling.
Understands basic serial communication, rs232 and rs485, and cabling.
Assists Electronics Technician with the design and implementation of new electronic control systems for building level.
Assists Electronics Technician with project design and coordination with Campus entities and contractors.
Assists Electronics Technician as they work with theUITNetwork team to identify problems and add new units to the ethernet system

Two years of vocational and electronic training with an emphasis on basic electronic systems and equipment, or equivalency; and a commitment to provide excellent customer service required. Must have demonstrated human relations skills and be able to work independently.
One to two years vocational and electronic training with an emphasis on basic electronic systems and equipment or equivalency required, a commitment to provide excellent customer service; and effective communication skills required. A valid Utah driver’s license may be required for some positions.
