Job Summary

UHEAA’s Outreach team spearheads Utah’sFAFSA(Free Application for Federal Student Aid) Completion initiatives, organizes and facilitates community outreach events throughout the state, and creates and provides information to Utah’s students and families about financial aid and financial literacy (videos, blogs, social media posts, web sites, and other web-based resources, etc.). The team is seeking a qualified student interested in gaining experience with community relations and outreach, social media marketing and outreach, web and graphic design, digital content creation, and/or financial aid work in a fast-paced environment.


-Participate in the preparation, strategy, and design of marketing materials as well as web-based content and resources

-Participate in video creation (scripting, storyboarding, filming, editing, production)

-Participate in blog writing and research (see

-Assist with various office tasks

-Assist withFAFSACompletion Night and other financial aid events

-Assist with updating customer relationship management database

-Collect and organize student directories from school districts

-Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle

Minimum Qualifications

-Must be current University of Utah student

-Knowledge of social media networks, applications, and trends

-Knowledge and experience in other forms of digital media content creation (such as video and audio production)

-Knowledge of Adobe design programs (Adobe Creative Cloud – Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign)

-Strong written, spoken, and interpersonal communication skills

-Comfortable interacting with the public/public speaking

-Organized, punctual, and reliable

-Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, especially Word and Excel

-High degree of professionalism

-Good sense of humor!
