Job Summary

Supports fund-raising and stewardship activities within the David Eccles School of Business.


The incumbent in this position will be split their time between direct fundraising, annual giving initiatives and donor stewardship. Key responsibilities include:

Stewardship & Annual Giving (50%)

•Oversee David Eccles Investors Program

•Oversee annual thank you cards, emails, and holiday gifts

•Assist with Annual Stewardship Report

•Assist with giving days

•Other stewardship and annual giving projects as needed

Direct Fundraising: (50%)

•Making direct solicitations to alumni, friends, foundations and companies on behalf of the David Eccles School of Business.

•Research potential donors, create strategies and make solicitations

•Securing sponsorships for a variety of events, and fundraising for annual and endowed scholarships, among other School funding needs as part of an overall University-wide campaign.

•Track and maintain donor records and relationships

•Work effectively in a highly motivated team environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalency; and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required. Experience which includes fundraising, grant and publication writing, planning and implementing special events and programs and a successful track record in raising donations is preferred.

Excellent people and communication skills. One year experience in fund raising or public relations preferred.
