Job Summary

The applicant must be a currently enrolled University of Utah student with an accepted Work-Study Financial Aid award for the current year. Work-Study award status may be viewed through CIS on the Financial Aid Status page.

Provides routine office support, reviews and processes documents and requests for information, maintains files, and provides support for multiple events throughout the school year. Assists with social media and e-newsletter content, creation and submission

Problem Solving

This position must make time management decisions that ensure all duties are completed in a time effective manner.

One year of general office experience and/or event planning experience, or equivalency; effective communication skills, and a commitment to provide excellent customer service required.

Responsibilities

1. Assists with general office assistance as needed.

2. Assists with event preparation, set-up, and tear down.

3. Reviews and processes documents, forms, mailing lists, thank you letters, etc. and reviews them for accuracy and completeness; ensures compliance with University and department policies, procedures and regulations.

4. Answers inquiries that may result in a search for records.

5. Gathers and assembles data for reports.

6. Maintains filing systems by determining the most appropriate filing category.

7. May process payments and prepare receipts.

Minimum Qualifications

One year of general office experience, or equivalency; effective communication skills, and a commitment to provide excellent customer service required.
