Job Summary

Student Affairs Assessment, Evaluation, & Research is currently accepting applications for a data management aide. The position will report to the Associate Director and will be supporting efforts to clean, organize, and report on data for a variety of projects. TheAERdepartment is a quieter environment but we are very collaborative. A successful candidate will be able to work independently, consult appropriately and have a curious attitude to explore problems and solutions. Attention to details is essential.

The position is a ten-hour per week position starting mid-summer. Pay rate will be hourly at $11. While a consistent schedule will be expected, there is flexibility in when the ten hours are scheduled, during normal business hours.

Responsibilities

Duties include:

•Data cleaning of text responses

•Organizing data in Excel spreadsheets

•Survey building and testing in Qualtrics

•Creating charts and other visualizations

•Conducting basic statistical analyses in Excel

•Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Must be a current University of Utah student.

Preference will be given to applicants with coursework and/or experience in using Excel, conducting survey research, or working with datasets. Training will be provided on the process of developing data cleaning rules and managing databases as needed.
