Job Summary

This position will require the applicant to assist with daily maintenance throughout the prescribed district buildings. This may include lifting as well as transporting mechanical and building related equipment. It may also include information gathering, verifying and data entry. Applicant must be willing and able to take on multiple tasks and work with each group within the district (HVAC, Electrical, Controls, Plumbing and Carpentry).

Responsibilities

1.Assists with general maintenance work crews to complete daily assignments.

2. Enters information into computerized information systems.

3.Research and evaluate all documents for accuracy and completeness to ensure correct data is entered.

4.Reviews input against source documents for accuracy and edits as needed.

5.May be required to be required to perform clerical duties such as filing and answering the telephones. This job description is not designed to contain or be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications required of employees assigned to the job.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years data entry experience or equivalency required (1 year of college education is equivalent to 2 years of related work experience). Proficiency in the use of data entry equipment and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills are also required. The hiring department may require a minimum typing ability.

Preferences

Two years data entry experience or equivalency preferred (1year of college education is equivalent to 2 years of related work experience). Civil, mechanical or electrical engineering student or facility management background.
