Act as working crew lead for employees in the field on custodial services. Perform custodial duties as assigned by manager with primary focus on performing custodial services. Follows general guidelines and direction from manager for equipment and work force needed to accomplish a variety of tasks. May inform the Supervisor on personnel items.
1.Performs all duties of custodians as required to ensure accomplishment of assigned goals.
2.Maintains good communication with building occupants and elevating concerns as necessary.
3.Reports maintenance and emergency problems to manager or police respectively.
4.Follow the guidelines for the proper distribution of employees and materials for a particular day’s cleaning problems by ensuring an adequate cleaning job is done as directed by the Supervisor.
5.Lead crew in daily activities as directed by the Supervisor.
6.Regular maintenance of light replacement.
8.Assist in training new crewmembers in the proper use of equipment and materials by demonstration and suggestion to ensure proper application of chemicals and minimum breakdown of equipment.
9.Ensures that work standards are being adhered to by reviewing assigned work and that issues are being escalated to the Supervisor.
10.Ensures that assigned work area is secured by checking for locked doors in accordance with regulations and that keys are accounted for.
11.Maintains adequate stock of supplies by ordering as necessary within a pre-established budget guideline.
12.Other duties as assigned.
Two years of previous custodial experience; the ability to lift 50 lbs.; the ability to climb a minimum of six feet on an authorized stepladder or scaffolding; and demonstrated oral and written communication skills required. Previous supervisory experience would be helpful.
