Job Summary

The Connect2Health Associate Director is a member of the College of Health Dean’s Office. This position is responsible for managing and strengthening the Connect2Health volunteer team. This position will work to recruit, select, train and onboard volunteers to the program. This position also generally provides administrative support to help Connect2Health run smoothly.


1.Oversee administrative matters regarding the day-to-day operations and procedures of an academic, volunteer-program.

2.Assess training needs and coordinate training programs to meet those needs.

3.Develop and implement program policies and procedures.

4.Facilitate ongoing volunteer training through weekly Reflection Sessions.

5.Serve as program representative in addressing issues and questions with campus, clinical and community partners.

6.Supervise subordinate staff, including but not limited to: Interns, Volunteers and AmeriCorps Members.

7.Occasional evenings and weekend required. Moderate physical activity required.

Minimum Qualifications

Six years related experience or equivalency (1 year of college education is equivalent to 2 years of related work experience). Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required. Bachelor’s degree in a related area is preferred.

Current or previous involvement with Connect2Health. Previous volunteer or work experience with underserved patient populations. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Ability to motivate and work with diverse individuals and groups within the university, and clinical settings. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in courteous, professional, and timely manner. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to balance a variety of tasks with a high degree of competency, accuracy, and attention to detail. Strong skills in volunteer management. Possess a valid driver’s license at time of employment.
