Job Summary

Part-time opening for individual with strong customer service and the availability to work a variable schedule. Will perform a variety of duties in support of groups using the Conference Center, including greeting groups; setting up tables, chairs, catering and AV for groups; and performing a variety of other client support and administrative duties.

Responsibilities

Demonstrated ability to prioritize & change course of action quickly, being flexible. Positive attitude and have the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Provide outstanding guest service. Sets up tables, chairs, catering, AV for groups using Conference Center.

Uses banquet event orders to ensure the client’s needs are met. Assists clients with AV equipment and other needs on-site. Attends scheduled staff meetings. Receives, greets and directs visitors to appropriate person or office. Answers telephones, providing assistance and directing customers to the correct person or office. Creates and maintains files. Answers questions about the organization and associated activities.

Assists with word processing, data entry and internet searches.

Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

This position requires an approved background check which is paid for by the department.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency required. One year full-time customer service experience or equivalency, demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.
