Job Summary

The Office of Undergraduate Studies seeks a student intern to support the programming and development of the Community Partners Mentoring Scholarship program. This intern assists in managing program timelines, organizing orientation sessions, individual mentee meetings, semester kick-offs, and Community Partner related events. In addition, this position maintains program files and communication with program scholars, and works with confidential material – so discretion is an absolute must-have. We look for candidates that demonstrate excellent communication, organization and leadership skills.

Students currently affiliated with the program are not eligible to apply.

This is a paid internship position.

Responsibilities

- Writing monthly newsletters

- Ability to manage multiple projects

- Update UGS Scholarship website as needed

- Schedule one-on-one meetings with students in the Community partners program

- Ability to take initiative and seek out projects and assignments

- Organizing event details

- Attend periodic on-campus events

- Become FERPA certified and maintain confidentiality of records

- Collaborate with Undergraduate Studies Development Staff on ad hoc projects

Minimum Qualifications

- Preference will be given to applicants who may receive a Federal Work Study Award

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent time management, organizational, project coordination, and follow through skills

- Enthusiasm for development of new skills, knowledge, and experience
