Job Summary

The U of U School of Medicine is seeking a highly organized administrative professional to coordinate and prioritize elements of our medical school curriculum for 3rd and 4th year students. The incumbent will oversee Clinical Method Curriculum (CMC) schedules and calendars, course assignments, simulated and real patient experiences, syllabi, and exams. This positions works in tandem with otherCMCcoordinators to help organize all aspects of theCMCprogram.

Training on systems and processes will be provided.

Responsibilities

1.Support the implementation ofCMC, Layers of Medicine, and Evidence-based Medicine into the clinical curriculum

2.Coordinate curriculum design, development, and delivery forCMCeducational programs related to medical students

3.OverseeCMCsessions (edit curriculum materials, print, obtain supplies, set-up & take down)

4.Monitor program quality and effectiveness, identify areas for improvement forCMCProgram Manager, faculty and deans

5.Assess needs of students and faculty and adjust program structure to address those needs

6.Advise staff, students, and others regarding program best practices and goals

7.Handle special projects and create ad hoc reports as needed

8.Schedule meetings, lectures and other program related functions

9.Coordinate data compilation, statistical reports, grades and correspondence

10.Maintain relationship with clinical faculty (high email/phone call/face to face load)

11.Organize and administer objective structured clinical examinations (OSCEs)

12.Plan for absent faculty/regroup clinical activities

13.MaintainCMC5/6 Canvas sites

14.Complete grading audits/ follow-up with core faculty regarding grades

15.Enter curriculum data to fulfill accreditation requirements

16.Assist with weekly faculty development sessions led by course director(s)

17.Participate inCMCcommittees and meetings

18.Assist with other tasks as needed, including added responsibilities that may be assigned withCMCprogram growth

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus one year directly related experience or equivalency required. Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze and make decisions related to program content. Strong coordination and organizational skills required to prioritize conflicting deadlines. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.
