Job Summary

Our Unified Communications and Collaboration professionals are tasked with both operational and design engineering responsibilities in a Microsoft windows and cloud hosted Infrastructure environment.

This role will provide technical guidance in planning and implementing new solutions while ensuring existing platforms remain stable. You will work with both IT and business partners to design and implement solutions supporting business needs, with emphasis on Microsoft Office 365 Services such as Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, and Compliance Center with integrations into physical and digital environments at the university.

This is a hybrid position which will work onsite and remotely as determined by the department.

Responsibilities

•Maintain and support cloud infrastructure.

•Optimize cloud infrastructure for efficiency.

•Create and maintain a library of infrastructure as code templates representing all components of our cloud infrastructure.

•Ensure cloud resources are keep up to date with latest security patches and best practices.

•Maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.

•Manage and perform application deployments and rollbacks.

•Demonstrates knowledge of and supports each entity’s mission and vision, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality guidelines and code of ethical behavior.

•Flexible to work outside of standard office hours if requested with proper notice.

•Performs other job-related duties as requested.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalency with at least 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Department Specific Qualifications

•Microsoft O365 Solutions Architect Knowledge.

•2+ years of set up, configuration, and administration of Microsoft O365 environments and a solid working knowledge of cloud networking, security, and identity and access management.

•Usage of infrastructure build tools.

•Experience in programming languages Python, Node, JavaScript, Typescript.

•Linux Admin skills, and experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.

•Familiar with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.

•Proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

•Exceptional level of concentration and commitment.

•Time management and prioritization skills.

•Willing to teach others.

•Able to work in a team environment.

•Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010-2016 (including Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe PDF Reader, VoIP Phone Systems, Google Apps for Business, and CRM or basic database knowledge.

•Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, frequently type and converse over the phone (4 or more hours a day).

•Requires the ability to lift 30 lbs.

•Requires to ability to work occasional shifts outside of working hours.

• Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, OneDrive, Sharepoint Online, Azure), Lync/Skype, Scripting, Active Directory, Skype Enterprise Voice

• Architecture/design and implementation experience with knowledge of Microsoft and Cloud based technologies (Lync/Skype/Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Active Directory/Azure, DNS ), scripting (PowerShell, Python, automation), and Agile methodologies

• Experience with Unified Communications and Collaboration technologies related to Enterprise Voice

• Experience with Cloud based collaboration tools used in the enterprise ecosystem (Teams, Zoom)

• Exposure to other infrastructure areas including: Active Directory, VMware, NAS Storage, Backup & Recovery, SQL Server, Cloud Services, etc.

• Troubleshooting experience with TCP /IP, DNS and some level of experience with network infrastructure/topology
