The Utah Blood and Marrow Transplantation (BMT) Program, Division of Hematology at Huntsman Cancer Center, University of Utah
• The U of U HealthBMTProgram is seeking a BC/BE Hematologist/Oncologist attending physician at the Instructor, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level• The candidate is expected to follow a clinical track, with interest in clinical research in the field ofBMT. Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah is anNCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, and the only academic center in the Intermountain West region. We perform around 170 transplants yearly, and provide an excellent infrastructure for research in any area ofBMTand hematologic malignancies. The UtahBMTProgram is part of the Division of Hematology and Hematologic Malignancies, Department of Internal Medicine, University of Utah. The Division has 31 faculty members, and excellent dedicated support provided by mid-level providers, nursing and ancillary staff.
Salt Lake City is located at the base of the Wasatch Mountains and is within an hour’s drive of 10 world-renowned ski resorts and within a few hours of five national parks. In addition to countless outdoor recreational opportunities, there are many cultural and sporting events, including: performances by the Utah Symphony, Ballet West and Pioneer Theater, and the internationally recognized Sundance Film Festival and the Park City Art Festival. The NBA’s Jazz,ECHLUtah Grizzlies hockey, the Salt Lake Bees, and Real Salt Lake City, a major league soccer team, are all part of Salt Lake City.
