Job Summary

Caring Connections clerk will answer phone calls from individuals experiencing grief and loss and assist them accessing internal and community resources. Assist with sign ups, paperwork, reminders, setup and other tasks for grief support group. Assist with community focused grief events publicity, set up, and implementation. Additionally, this position will assist with general office tasks at the direction of the Program Coordinator and Director.

The applicant must be a student currently enrolled at the University of Utah with an available Work Study Financial Aid award for the current school year.

This position is considered Category I: Mandatory and required on campus or health care facilities to support on-site operations. Employees hired into this category will be required to be physically located at College of Nursing facility if they are healthy and without COVID -19 symptoms.

Responsibilities

-Answer phone calls and take messages

-Assist with grief support group sign ups

-Provide community referrals

-Room setup for grief groups and events

-Group sign up and record keeping

-Email communication with grieving community members

-Publicity

One year of general office experience, or equivalency; effective communication skills, and a commitment to provide excellent customer service required.
