Job Summary

Student part-time position for University of Utah students, to work approximately 15-20 hours weekly in the Campus Store Health location, which specializes in retail sales in the medical field. The Campus Store Health is located in the Eccles Health Sciences Education Building on the first floor.

Responsibilities

Primary duties to include are cashiering and customer service, assisting with stock keeping and merchandising of all product. Some light housekeeping is expected. This position requires the employee to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of electronic e-mail systems, preferably Outlook, including the e-mail and calendar functions of the system.

Work Environment and Level of Frequency typically required

Nearly Continuously: Office environment.

Physical Requirements and Level of Frequency that may be required

Nearly Continuously: walking, hearing, listening, talking.

Often: Repetitive hand motion (such as typing), sitting.

Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead, lifting (up to 50 pounds).

Minimum Qualifications

This is an entry-level position. Training will be provided. Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills and the ability to pass a security clearance is required. Some positions require a minimum of six months cashiering experience.

Preferences

Some retail experience preferred, with knowledge of medical products and/or field.

Some cashiering experience preferred.
