Job Summary

We are looking for outgoing and energetic people to join our team at the University Campus store. Be part of tradition that has served the University community for over 100 years.

The Campus Store Associate is responsible for assisting customers as they shop within the University Campus Store. Their duties include greeting customers, answering questions related to the merchandise and store policies and locating items for customers.

In addition to working in a fun atmosphere benefits of employment include employee discount*, pay increase twice a year, and opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

Welcoming and engaging with customers as they enter the store.

Assessing customers’ needs and suggesting solutions to their problems.

Working with cash registers and processing payments.

Giving customers advice about sales and promotions.

Using upselling techniques to increase store sales.

Recommending the best products to customers.

Cleaning and restocking as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of retail sales experience; a minimum of one year of experience supervising employees and buying merchandise; and effective oral and written communication skills required. A commitment to the concept of excellence in service is expected from the incumbent. An Associate Degree in Business, or a related field, or two years of related college work along with the above requirements is preferred. Other specific preferences may be called for, depending on the unique needs in a given area.
