Operates and monitors theHVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other systems at assigned buildings using the Building Automation Systems. Makes necessary adjustments and repairs as needed to maintain proper function. Performs preventative maintenance on buildingHVAC, mechanical, electrical plumbing, and other system(s) equipment as assigned.
1. Responds to trouble calls from building occupants and computer alarms.
2. Repairs and troubleshootsHVAC, plumbing mechanical and electrical building equipment problems.
3. Reviews alarm summaries and makes building system adjustments on the Building Automation Systems.
4. Documents daily building system problems.
5. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on buildingHVACequipment such as: chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps,VAVboxes, fan coil units, and air handler units.
6. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on building electrical systems such as: motors, VFDs,ATS, lighting, controls and generators.
7. Fosters an environment of teamwork and growth within the department.
Two years of experience with building systems control or related experience or equivalency; demonstrated knowledge of automated and computer-directed building systems, plumbing and electrical systems, and pneumatic and electronic control systems; and familiarity with heating and air conditioning systems required. A working knowledge and understanding of mechanical equipment, automation and field hardware; and demonstrated computer literacy, human relations and effective communication skills are also required.
EPA608 Universal Certification
Journeyman License or equivalent
