Job Summary

The position is responsible to ensure all billable services for University Physicians are for captured for billing.


1.Using Excel, identify missed charges by reviewing verification and missing charge reports.

2.Analyzes reports to work efficiently and effectively. Analyzes reports to identify trends, prioritize work, and to ensure work deadlines are met.

3.Escalates issues and trends to appropriate supervisor/manager with a written detailed summary and suggestion for resolution.

4.Writes professional and timely communication to providers and department liaisons with detailed information.

5.Report to required individuals and follow-up on needed components.

6.Responds to written and email correspondence within established timelines.

7.Responsible for updating and implementing procedures, processes and strategies to ensure timely and accurate data reconciliation information.

8.May provide training to others on procedures and practices.

9.Overtime may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

Three years medical billing experience and one year of coding experience usingICD-9-CM or equivalency required. Thorough knowledge of entire billing process, demonstrated computer skills, human relations and effective communication skills are also required.
