University of Utah Health Behavioral Health Integration Program Supervisor (LCSW) in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

Overview

University Neuropsychiatric Institute (UNI) and University of Utah Health are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Integration Program Supervisor to lead behavioral health services integrated within medical specialties throughout the system!

In 2015, University Community Physician Group (CPG) and University Neuropsychiatric Institute (UNI) partnered together to provide behavioral health resources within the Primary Care Clinics within University of Utah Health Primary Care Clinics. The program started with a part-time manager and 4 social workers and currently has grown to a team of 20. In 2018, University Hospital asked CPG/UNI to manage 2.5 FTE’s with the hospital’s specialty outpatient clinics. This program currently employs 5 FTE’s integrated across 20 outpatient specialty clinics including the Clinical Neurosciences Center, Cardiovascular Clinic, Internal Medicine, Women’s Health, and the Chronic Disease Clinic.

The team today consists of a manager, a supervisor, 18 LCSW’s, 2 CSW’s and 4 MSW students. The program has been incredibly successful and is very well received by the care teams within all of the clinics.

Locations

The main office for this position is in the University of Utah Health Business Services Building (BSB) located at 127 South 500 East; Salt Lake City, Utah 84102.

  5. Farmington Health Center – 165 N. University Ave., Farmington, UT 84025

  6. Redwood Health Center - 1525 W 2100 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84119

  7. South Jordan Health Center – 5126 W Daybreak Parkway, South Jordan, UT 84009

  8. Westridge Health Center - 3730 W 4700 S, West Valley City, UT 84129

  9. University Hospital – 50 North Medical Way, Salt Lake City, Utah 84112

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the delivery of patient care and/or customer service, ensuring the timely resolution of concerns.

  • Supervises all functions of the department as it relates to staff and operations.

  • Assist with the planning, implementation, measurement, and attainment of the department goal and objectives.

  • Analyzes and determines appropriate staffing while ensuring efficiency and maximizing resources.

  • Supervises the daily operations of the department including interviewing and hiring staff, assigning work, evaluating performance, training, and planning work schedules.

  • Monitors, orders, and maintains stock of department supplies and equipment.

  • Orients and trains staff in policies and procedures.

  • May perform all duties of the department as required.

  • May assist in budget preparation.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above.

  • Demonstrated organizational, human relations and effective communication skills.

  • Ability to orchestrate multiple tasks simultaneously.

Qualifications

Qualifications Required

  • Three years of experience in a related area, or equivalency, with one of those years in a supervisory capacity.

  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider card through American Heart Association, or obtain within one month of hire.

Licenses Required

  • One of the following

  • Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certificate for clinical practice in the State of Utah.

  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider card through American Heart Association or obtain within one month of hire.


  • Additional license requirements as determined by the hiring department._**

Qualifications (Preferred)

Preferred

  • Experience working in integrated behavioral health in a primary care setting
