The position is responsible for creating the Starbucks Beverage experience working in a high volume, fast paced unit serving professional clientele. This position is not responsible for providing patient care.

Responsibilities

Retail Associate/Gift Shop

Responsibilities:

  • Opens and closes facilities at the beginning and end of the shift.

  • Counts, collects and returns change to customers. Reconciles money at the end of the shift.

  • Stocks product on shelves and in coolers.

  • Unboxes and prices incoming merchandise for store and stockroom.

  • Cleans work area by mopping and sweeping floors, wiping off machines and counters, cleaning floral and drink cooler, windows, and dusting shelves.

  • Assists in ordering product, maintaining inventory, answering and completing phone orders for floral and gift baskets and general information.

  • May assist at special events.

  • Perform other tasks and duties related to retail as requested by manager.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • 2+ years Retail experience

  • Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs, multi-task, and work in a fast paced environment.

  • Creativity in design, wrapping gifts and assembling gift baskets.

  • Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills.

  • Demonstrated basic mathematical skills.

  • Ability to give directions and respond to general questions.

  • Ability to be responsible for the handling and safekeeping of cash during the shift.

  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above.

Preferred

  • Experienced in visual merchandising and creating displays.

  • Skills in word processing and spreadsheets.

Qualifications

Qualifications Required

  • This is an entry level position.

  • Current Food Handlers work permit within one month of hire.

  • Successful completion of Barista training within one month of hire.

Licenses Required

  • One of the following

  • Current Food Protection Manager certification, accredited by ANSI.

  • Current Utah Food Handler Permit.

* Additional license requirements as determined by the hiring department.
