Job Summary

•Service the student-athletes at our fueling stations.

•Create an educational and healthy environment in our fueling stations.

•Prepare foods to be served in our fueling station (PB&J sandwiches, tuna salad, hummus, etc.).

•Put together team travel or competition snack bags.

•Label sample cups for hydration testing.

•Receive and put away deliveries following FIFO (first in, first out).

•Other tasks or projects assigned by sports dietitians.

•Opportunity to obtain valuable experience as you explore career opportunities.

•Letter of recommendation for your hard work and effort from the Sports Dietitian (after at least one semester of committed time).

•Working with high profile athletes and wide variety of sports.

Responsibilities

•Willing to work upwards of 20 hours weekly, but a minimum of 10, from Monday-Friday.

•Treats all people with dignity and respect including student athletes, coaches, athletic trainers, administrators and others that you will work with.

•Maintains confidentiality in all areas.

•Is on time and demonstrates professionalism in regards to dependability, having follow through, meeting deadlines, responding to emails/texts.

•Shows initiative, efficiency and forethought.

•Asks for guidance, support or clarification when needed.

•Will not fraternize with the student athletes during their time with the sports nutrition department.

•Abides by all NCAA rules and regulations while working with the sports nutrition department. If you are unsure of any NCAA rules and regulations, please ask the sports dietitian.

Minimum Qualifications

•Reliability and timeliness.

•Strong interpersonal skills.

•Good time and priority management skills.

•Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments.

•Ability to work as an integral part of the sports nutrition team.

Current Food Handler’s Permit within one month of employment; must be able to read, write, and follow verbal instructions in English; and a commitment to providing excellence in service required. Six months food handlers’ experience is preferred.
