The David Eccles School of Business’s Department of Operations and Information Systems at the University of Utah seeks to fill a tenured faculty position at the Associate or Full professor level in the area of healthcare beginning July 2022. We seek candidates with demonstrated research accomplishments that focus on healthcare in operations management, information systems, and related fields. A Ph.D. in a relevant discipline is required. Truly exceptional candidates with extensive research experience in healthcare are encouraged to apply.

The school’s health administration programs are growing and have expanded its offerings to include an MHA (Master of Healthcare Administration), a Professional MHA , an online MHA , and an MHM (Master of Healthcare Management) degree. The MHA program has strong ties to the University of Utah Hospital and Clinics ( UUHC ), which is a national leader among academic medical centers. Salt Lake City has a vibrant healthcare environment with healthcare systems organizations such as Intermountain Healthcare, Steward, HCA Mountain Star, and Veterans Administration Healthcare. Executives from these organizations contribute to the MHA program.

Successful candidates will be expected to produce high-quality research and teach effectively. Candidates publishing in the top INFORMS journals are encouraged to apply.
