The University of Utah College of Social Work invites applications for two 9-month tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor. The position includes generous benefits, competitive salary, development funding, and a collegial environment. Faculty with expertise in quantitative research methods, especially in the following substantive areas: substance abuse, corrections/forensics, child welfare, aging, disabilities, and/or health, are especially encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will have a strong scholarly record, a fundable research agenda, and documented excellence in teaching.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must have a doctorate in social work or a related field. Candidates who areABDmay also apply. Applicants with anMSWdegree from aCSWE-accredited program and at least two years of professional social work experience are preferred.

TheCSWhouses a number of research entities providing faculty and students research opportunities and support for locating and managing external funding including:

•Center for Research on Migration & Refugee Integration; and

•W. D. Goodwill Initiatives on Aging

Currently,CSWfaculty are conducting a number of federally-funded, state funded, and foundation funded translational social research projects to advance social work research and innovate evidence-based practices for vulnerable populations in need. The College’s Goodwill Humanitarian Building features state-of-the-art clinical training suites equipped with one-way mirrors and audio-visual technology for real-time clinical supervision and feedback, as well as a sophisticated psychophysiology lab for cutting-edge social work neuroscience.
