Details
Quantitative Psychology at the University of Utah . The Department of Psychology at the University of Utah invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Quantitative Psychology at the assistant professor level. We welcome applications from any area of quantitative psychology that would complement and extend existing quantitative faculty expertise in dynamical systems, longitudinal modeling, structural equation modeling, and multilevel modeling. We also welcome new complementary expertise in computational modeling, machine learning, Bayesian statistics, and data visualization. All quantitative faculty are associated with one of the departmental programs (Cognition and Neural Sciences, Clinical, Social, Developmental), and ideal candidates would bring methodological expertise that contributes to and enhances the research profile and extramural funding of one or more of these areas. Given the interdisciplinarity of current quantitative faculty, we especially encourage applications from scholars committed to interdisciplinarity across the Psychology department and University. Candidates should have an excellent record of research, evidence of the potential for self-sustained or collaborative extramural funding, and experience teaching undergraduate and/or graduate statistical methods for substantively diverse students.
The Department of Psychology also values interdisciplinary approaches to research and training, and strongly encourages collaboration across four traditional programs (Developmental, Clinical, Cognition and Neural Sciences, and Social). In addition to a doctoral program in cognition and neural science, the University of Utah has an interdepartmental neuroscience graduate program: http://neuroscience.med.utah.edu . The department also has an undergraduate certificate program in Human Factors: https://psych.utah.edu/human-factors/index.php .
