The School of Biological Sciences at the University of Utah invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. The University of Utah offers exceptional opportunities for collaboration in research across multiple departments, all at the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains with nearby world-class cultural and recreational opportunities.

Competitive applicants will demonstrate an ability to develop an independent and vigorous research program addressing fundamental questions in biology from a molecular perspective. We particularly encourage applicants working at the interface of biochemistry and cell biology, with expertise in reconstitution of cell biological processes in vitro or structure/function analyses of biological macromolecules and processes. We welcome investigators working in any type of model system including plants, animals, fungi, bacteria, and protists. The new faculty member will be expected to maintain a high impact research program and to contribute to our interdisciplinary teaching mission at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
