The Division of Clinical Pharmacology at the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine at the University of Utah is recruiting for an Assistant Professor with subspecialty expertise in pediatric clinical pharmacology. The faculty member will oversee a translational research program emphasizing drug studies in the oncology setting, including childhood cancers, which integrates pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic, and pharmacogenetic data. The faculty member will be responsible for developing, testing, implementing, and publishing successful research concepts and obtaining independent funding to maintain the research program.

The successful candidate will have expertise in translational science related to pediatric oncology, in biorepository management, utilization of clinical drug exposures to inform safety and efficacy studies, as well as molecular biologic studies using clinically relevant models of cancer, and a history of scholarly achievement in the form of extramural funding, publications, grant submissions, and presentations at appropriate national and international events. He/she will have a Ph.D. in Pharmacology/Toxicology, completed a Pediatric Clinical Pharmacology Fellowship Program, be Board Certified in Clinical Pharmacology, and possess 5 or more years’ experience as a faculty researcher that includes experience in translational science related to pediatric oncology. The selected candidate will receive a faculty appointment on the Tenure track at the rank of Assistant Professor.
