University of Utah Athletics Department, a Division I and Pac-12 Conference Institution, is seeking a part-time assistant diving coach for the Swimming and Diving program. The University seeks a dynamic and experienced leader with a strong commitment to NCAA Division I athletics, integrity, compliance, character, diversity, and the academic and athletic experience of the student-athlete. This position will assist the Head Diving Coach with the organizing, planning, and coaching of the Swimming & Diving team. This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Salary is $2,000 per month during the NCAA competition season of September-March. This position has the opportunity to coach both club and diving camps to supplement income.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Assisting coaching staff in daily operations;
•On-deck coaching duties;
•Filming/Video analysis; and
•Select administrative duties.
• Bachelor’s degree;
• Prior collegiate swimming experience (preferably at the Division I level); and
• Valid driver’s license and successful completion of the University-required background checks.
• Knowledge of NCAA Division I and Pac-12 compliance and conference rules;
• USA Diving Coaching Certification; and
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, the ability to work independently when needed, and willingness to embrace and further a positive culture surrounding the student-athlete experience and success of the entire Swimming and Diving program.
