The Department of Population Health Sciences at the University of Utah invites applications for multiple open rank, tenure-track faculty positions in Implementation and Dissemination Science. We are seeking outstanding scientists who are collaborative and engaged colleagues interested in advancing their career through interdisciplinary team science.
The Department of Population Health Sciences at the University of Utah School of Medicine aims to be a hub for education, investigation and expertise in implementation/dissemination science. The department provides methodological expertise and infrastructure to advance capacity for population health scientists to pursue impact-driven research and allow clinical professionals to provide better patient and population-oriented care in an increasingly complex health care delivery system. Faculty members could be located in any of the Department’s three Divisions: Health System Innovation and Research; Cancer Population Science; or Biostatistics.
For scientists interested in implementation/dissemination research addressing cancer, appointments at the Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) at the University of Utah are available.HCIis anNCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and a member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), supporting and fostering a vibrant research enterprise in a highly collegial environment.HCIhas a strong history of academic achievement and impact as well as a commitment to excellence in patient care, research, teaching and service.
Collaborations with the Center forHOPE(Health Outcomes and Population Equity) are also available. The Center forHOPEis focused on discovering new ways to prevent and control cancer and chronic disease among underserved populations. There are exceptional opportunities to conduct cutting-edge research in implementation/dissemination science, collaborate with multidisciplinary faculty, and work in close partnership with health care systems and community-based agencies. The Center is actively engaged with traditionally underserved populations to address health inequities. This Center provides state of the science facilities for conducting cancer prevention and control research with both community participants and patients.
