This role will provide complex administrative support for upper level department administration as well as for Office of Engagement programs including, Beacon, the Utah College Advising Corps, the Dream Center, Education Pathways, Defining Your Path, First Star.
1. Provides administrative support to Office of Engagement programs.
2. Assists with the development of department budgets.
3. Assists with development, including donor stewardship.
4. Maintains budget records, such as reconciling accounts and preparing expenditure statements.
5. Collects, organizes and analyzes data for specialized reports.
6. Coordinates the collection and preparation of operating reports.
7. Assists with the implementation of department and University policies and procedures.
8. Provides administrative support to upper level department management by scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings and conferences and maintaining and ordering office supplies.
9. Other administrative duties as needed.
Associate degree in business or equivalency (2 years related work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education) and three years full-time secretarial experience required. Demonstrated human relations and effective written and verbal communication skills required. Knowledge of basic bookkeeping practices and direct supervisory experience preferred.

Preference may be given to applicants with University budget and accounting experience.
The ability to communicate effectively and professionally with many different individuals is necessary. The incumbent should be organized, flexible, detail oriented, have the ability to problem solve quickly and have a strong knowledge of general office procedures and processes.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally to diverse audiences including administrators, faculty, students, and staff.
Ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment with a professional, positive attitude, embracing change and adapting to student needs.
Evidence of successful work with a diverse range of students, including populations typically underrepresented in higher education (e.g. students of color, first-generation college students,LGBTQstudents, students with disabilities, and students from lowerSESbackgrounds) but also able to maintain professional boundaries.
